AppScan and AppShield to protect mission-critical E-business
Santa Clara, Calif. - October 16, 2000 -
Fujitsu Systems Business of America (FSBA) has selected AppScan
and AppShield from Sanctum, Inc. (Sanctum) as an application
security solution. FSBA will start offering the application
security solution to the company's customers in cooperation
with Sanctum.
Network and Internet security is a key part of FSBA's core
offering - Fujitsu's Advanced Networking Solutions (FANS).
FANS security solution is designed to address the increasing
concern of security as any organization has become dependent
on the Internet to run its day-to-day operations.
Unlike conventional technology consulting and integration
services, security solutions must be provided only
by information security professionals. Security is a
part of integrated system solution, not a stand-alone
solution. FANS security solution includes security
analysis and planning, implementation, and continuous support.
FANS security solution also includes managed security services
where FSBA provides end-to-end security solutions allowing
customers to focus on their own businesses without making
huge investments internally.
Firewalls are to protect networks, and Sanctum's AppScan
and AppShield are to compliment firewall technologies
by providing measures to protect applications. AppShield
protects from any web application manipulation while AppScan
can show you where your applications are vulnerable and
recommend how to fix them. As more and more businesses
take place over the Internet, securing the applications
is a critical part of e-business. Almost on daily basis,
news of another vandalized web site and stolen customer
information is reported. Sanctum's solution addresses
application security and is uniquely positioned
in the industry.
"As a leading network solution provider, security is on our
highest priority list. FSBA is dedicated to providing
comprehensive security solutions to our customers. We are
very excited to have an opportunity to work with Sanctum
providing application securities." states Steve Beecher, VP
of FANS Operations. "By incorporating Sanctum's solution, we
are able to provide real integrated security solutions to our customers."
