eBusiness Total Solution Provider Brings AppScan and AppShield to Japanese Market
SANTA CLARA, CALIF. and TOKYO, JAPAN - June 4, 2001 -

software, today announced a partnership with TechMatrix (formerly Nichimen Data
Systems Corporation). TechMatrix provides product distribution, customer support,
system integration, and application development from network infrastructure
through the application layer. Under the terms of the agreement, TechMatrix
will distribute both Sanctum products, AppScan and AppShield, throughout Japan,
providing a broad range of companies with the tools to effectively protect the
most vulnerable layer of their eBusiness properties, the Web application.

TechMatrix will distribute AppScan and AppShield software and support to

healthcare and financial services industries. TechMatrix will provide
localized product development and engineering support in partnership with
Sanctum's development team in Herzelia, Israel.
Sanctum's AppScan automates the complex, manual task of auditing both third
party and custom Web applications. AppScan drives Web application security
audits to all phases of the application life cycle, allowing developers, operation
managers and security consultants to automatically assess the level of
vulnerability in the actual web applications. Vulnerability assessments
that used to take weeks will now take hours with AppScan.
AppShield provides users with around-the-clock, automatic protection against
Web application attacks. AppShield secures Web sites by detecting, blocking,
logging and alerting administrators to any type of Web-enabled security breach.
The two products combine to form an offensive-defensive security architecture that
enables enterprises to focus developer resources on new products and services rather
than debugging and patching existing applications.
